Orchard Barn is a newly converted barn in the old orchard, retaining several original features. A gently ramped access from the parking area leads to the French doors and the patio from where you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine.
The lounge has a dramatic vaulted ceiling with the original pulley wheel in situ, which used to drive the milling machine. There is a log burner for cosy winter evenings. An oak staircase leads up to the gallery which provides further relaxation space. The downstairs wet-room is fitted with grab rails and has level entry showers
The twin bedroom downstairs has a luxurious level en-suite shower room. Upstairs, the 4 poster bedroom, with spectacular views has a shower en-suite while the twin bedroom is fitted with a bath en-suite for your convenience. An extra bed can be situated on the gallery.
Orchard Barn has underfloor heating, using environmentally friendly geo-thermal heating obtained from pipes run underground in the adjoining field. This heating is designed to maintain a constant temperature 24 hours of the day, 365 days a year.

A wide paved patio surrounds the barn on the south and west, which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun during the day and also to watch the sunsets. This is the traditional orchard, which is planted with fruit trees including apple, pear, plum, cherry.
The two silver trees in the far corner were Silver Wedding presents for Bob and Lorna. Around the patio the beds are planted with plants chosen for their fragrance, herbs which you may pick for the kitchen, other plants are chosen for their ability to sustain the wildlife which is native to this area. Diverse habitats have been encouraged to develop. There is plenty of space here for children to play.
